So, my last blog was about how my mind space was consumed with heavy thoughts and how I was in survival mode to just get through one day at a time. Having so many heavy thoughts left me with depression and a thyroid disease.
I laugh now about the “specialists” stating that these “illnesses” are genetic and I am just a “victim of my family.” “You need to go to a psych ward,” said the psychologist and for your thyroid, “Here’s some medication that you’ll be on for the rest of your life”. You’ll be happy to know, I avoided the hospital and I spent six years on my thyroid medication up until March 2010. I decided, “I am in control of my health now. I created it. Now, I will uncreate it!” One year on, guess what? No symptoms!!
This has only been the case because I have changed my environment and my mindset. I discovered that my mind, isn’t really me and “I” have control over the thoughts that happen because after all, thoughts become things.
