Power of Meditation and Connecting to Feelings

Have you noticed when something emotional is going on for you, you can locate the physical sensation in your body?

For example, when you feel nervous, can you feel the “butterflies” in your tummy. When you feel love, can you feel your heart “warmed” or even feeling in love, your heart melting? I just love those “melting” moments!

Noticing what you are feeling and where in your body you feel it, at any situation, can give you the answers to why you react to things the way you do.

Here’s a look into a scenario – previously, if I was challenged adversley about something that I had done and especially that there was no ill intention about it, my solar plexis region would just curdle. My “self-worth” would be taking a hit from whatever comment/s were made.

So, what does this mean now? The question I ask is, “Why am I taking a “hit” from this?” “Where has this come from for me to react this way?” It would be a good start to look at major events that occured in either my first 5-7 years, 8ish – 14 years and 14 to early 20,s.

So, I know this may sound crazy, however, it was real for me. My parents divorced when I was 10 years old and I made that mean, “I am not good enough.”

This story has allowed me to make some crazy decisions, not particularly in the best care for myself for a good part of my life. Does this give anyone any insight? I would love for you to share your “story?”

How You Can Create an Exciting Life Journey!

As you have read previously, my health and my mental wellbeing suffered, purely because what my thoughts were focussing on. I really only started to become conscious of my thoughts a couple of years ago when I was introduced to Louise H. Hay (not personally, I wish though!). Louise’s philosophy has been another element in my healing process.

I was so unaware that the thoughts I had, I actually had control over them. Now that I have let the past go that was consuming me so much, I have the space now to create. How much fun! A blank canvas ready to paint and create.

Gosh, when I think about what has come about in my life over the last few years, I am in awe of how far I have come in my journey. The primary creation is my gorgeous man and his boys, sharing a life with my children and me. I have the family I have always dreamed about! What else has opened up for me, Ka Huna training, my own business, invitation to be a guest speaker at the Women’s Wellbeing monthly women’s circle, having the door to internet business open for Pete and me, fantastic internet marketing seminars and the list continues and the excitement, action and implementing is done with enjoyment and passion. Wow, who’s excited about their possibilities??

Clearing the Mind Space and Creating Possibilities

So, my last blog was about how my mind space was consumed with heavy thoughts and how I was in survival mode to just get through one day at a time. Having so many heavy thoughts left me with depression and a thyroid disease.

I laugh now about the “specialists” stating that these “illnesses” are genetic and I am just a “victim of my family.” “You need to go to a psych ward,” said the psychologist and for your thyroid, “Here’s some medication that you’ll be on for the rest of your life”. You’ll be happy to know, I avoided the hospital and I spent six years on my thyroid medication up until March 2010. I decided, “I am in control of my health now. I created it. Now, I will uncreate it!” One year on, guess what? No symptoms!!

This has only been the case because I have changed my environment and my mindset. I discovered that my mind, isn’t really me and “I” have control over the thoughts that happen because after all, thoughts become things.
